23 Countries Joined Information Technology Conference in Bandung

A total of 23 countries presented their views at the International Conference of Information and Communication Technology (ICoICT) 2014 in Bandung on Friday.

"The committee received scientific papers from 23 countries in the world include Asia, Europe and America," said Chief Executive ICoICT 2014 Dade Nurjanah.

 Activities of international ICT conference the theme of the Internet of Things (IOT): Infrastructure, Computation and Its Application held since Wednesday (28/5).

According to Dade, ICoICT 2014 who has twice held since the year 2013 is intended as a means for practitioners and scientists to be able to share ideas and results of research they have done. It would be useful for the development of ICT in the future.

During the event, participants follow the discussion and focus group discussion (FGD) with a tutor and panelists. Keynote speakers at ICoICT 2014, Prof. Jin Mitsugi, spoke on "Advancements of Automatic Identification Technology" and Prof. Teddy Mantoro with the theme "IOT: Emerging Trend of Sensing, Computing and Communication".

Meanwhile Telkom University Rector Prof. Dr. Ashari said Mochamad ICT growth in Indonesia continues to climb. This is a factor supporting economic growth in Indonesia is growing at 4-5 percent annually. He said that ICoICT organized as a series of anniversary events Telkom University first.

On that occasion, also attended by the Chairman of the IEEE Indonesia Section Kuncoro Wibowo Wastu stating the theme ICoICT IOT 2014, will be useful to address global challenges in the field of ICT.

"IOT is the ability to link information with other information. Challenge now is how the general public can use the information in a way that is good and right and feel the positive impact of ICT development," said Kuncoro Wastu Wibowo added.
